{"primaryDescription":"<h2>MPs quiz Climate Minister on net zero plans</h2>\r\n<p>On Monday, the Environmental Audit Committee will quiz Climate Minister Katie White on the government&rsquo;s plans for the Seventh Carbon Budget (CB7).</p>\r\n<p>Carbon Budgets set a legally binding cap on the maximum level of carbon the UK can emit over a set period. CB7 covers the years 2038-2042.&nbsp;</p>\r\n<p>The Committee recently published the <a href=\"https://committees.parliament.uk/committee/62/environmental-audit-committee/news/214205/government-commits-to-greater-debate-on-latest-net-zero-targets/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">government&rsquo;s response to its report</a> on the latest Carbon Budget, which offered MPs a greater opportunity to debate the Budget.
