{"primaryDescription":"<h2>Investigation by PHSO into complaints-handling at&nbsp;the Charity Commission to be examined by MPs</h2>\r\n<p>The Public Administration and Constitutional Affairs Committee (PACAC) will scrutinise&nbsp;investigations undertaken by&nbsp;the Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman (PHSO) about the Charity Commission.&nbsp;</p>\r\n<p>The&nbsp;session will focus on&nbsp;the PHSO&rsquo;s reports into&nbsp;two&nbsp;specific&nbsp;complaints, lodged by&nbsp;<a href=\"https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/media/68c3f7b73519dec072c8764e/_HC_1295__-_An_investigation_into_the_Department_for_Education_and_the_Charity_Commission_Mr_U_s_complaint.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mr Damian Murray</a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href=\"https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/media/68c3f9153519dec072c8764f/_HC_1294__-_An_investigation_into_the_Charity_Commission_Miss_A_s_complaint.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ms Lara Hall</a>.&nbsp;The&nbsp;reports&nbsp;related to safeguarding issues at&nbsp;certain&nbsp;charities&nbsp;and the way the Charity Commission responded to the concerns&nbsp;which were&nbsp;raised.&nbsp;The PHSO laid both reports before Parliament&nbsp;as the Ombudsman had concluded that the&nbsp;Charity Commission had not fully&nbsp;complied with&nbsp;its recommendations&nbsp;in either case.</p>","secondaryDescription":"<p>The hearing&nbsp;will be split between two panels. First, representatives from the PHSO will be questioned on their investigations.
